Forgot password or PIN

In the event that you forget your password, to access Business Online you must provide relevant personal information and have access to the email address that the system has stored in your user profile.

To reset your forgotten password or PIN:

  1. On the Log in page, click the Forgot password or PIN hyperlink. The system displays the Forgot password or PIN page.
  2. In the Username field, type your username (for example, gwashington).
  3. In the Mother's maiden name field, type the mother's maiden name stored in your user profile.
  4. In the Email address field, type the email address stored in your user profile.
  1. Click Reset password or PIN. Business Online sends an email to your registered email address with instructions to change your password or PIN.
  2. Open the email and click the Reset Link. The system displays the Change password page. However, if you have enrolled for multifactor authentication, the system may display the Security challenge page before the Change password page.
  3. In the New password or PIN field, type your new password or PIN.

Note:

If the system displays the Security challenge page, click here for instructions to Answer a challenge question or to Enter a passcode.

  1. In the Confirm new password or PIN field, type your new password or PIN again to confirm that it is accurate.
  1. Click Continue. The system displays the Home page.

Note:

  • Business Online sends you an email notification every time you change your password or PIN.
  • To create a strong password refer to the Password policy.
